Can I take legal action against this company?
I bought an expensive unit from a company and it developed a fault. It was under warranty, so I sent it back to them for repair.
They quoted me 2 weeks, it took 6. At this point they were obliged to offer me a replacement unit, which they did, but they were 'out of stock' and advised me it would be quicker to wait for my own.
When it did arrive, it was still broken! Nothing has changed!
1st thing I can suggest is that you call them and try to get a resolution, if not one can me agreed upon ,If you paid for the item with a debit or credit card I would call the card company/ your bank and dispute the transaction and get your money back.
As far as a legal action is concenred , that should be last resort as it is expensive and very time consuming on your part. The compmany I am sure will have an attorney show up on their behalf , where you may have to retain an attorney, then you have court hearings and depsoitons
good luck in your decision
