What is the difference between the $20 and the $150 Sonicare electric toothbrushes?
Is there a real difference between these models aside from the bells and whistles (case, quad timer, etc). In other words, will the $150 necessarily do a better job than the $20? Both models are rechargeable.
Yes. First of all, they come with nicer: packaging, warranties, higher quality material (bristles, brush head, etc..), and they honestly work better. My friend has one because she got a 50% discount from the densist office that she works at. She has more than one brush head in several different sizes and options (like soft or medium). It also comes with a compartment that you stick the toothbrush heads in and a special light kills the bacteria off of them. The pulsation and spinning of the brush is even better too. She said that its a bit weird to get used to because it tickles your teeth and lips at first (she had to begin on low). The brush actually gets a lot more plaque off of your teeth and stimulates your gums too, all in less time than manual and other cheaper electric toothbrushes. I'm definately going to get one! You can order several different brush heads, so I'll be able to share one with my family.
