what is the difference between Sanitizer and Sterilizer? please explain clearly?

The word sanitizer has no connection to the act of making things clean or hygienic
If someone or something sanitizes an activity or a situation that is unpleasant or unacceptable,they describe it in a way that makes it seem more pleasant or acceptable.
ex...He hates the cosy English school of crime writers who sanitize violence and make it respectable.

If you sterilize a place or a thing, you make it completely clean and free from germs.
If a person or an animal is sterilized,they have a medical operation that mkes it impossible for them to have or produce a baby.
