How to travel over a weekend with only a purse as luggage?
When I am traveling for only about a weekend, I like to only bring what can fit into my purse. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as what to pack? toiletries? I usually roll up PJ pants and bring a toothbrush (in case) and borrow other supplies. But I would like to start being more prepared so that I could even do air travel with only my purse. Any ideas?
I have plenty of suitcases as I travel a lot. I am looking specifically for tips so that an overnight trip does not take up the space that my carry-on sized items take up
When traveling through Mexico I met this young lady and she had clothes that rolled up into tiny little rolls and so had all the clothes she needed. She wore no makeup and had on very nice earrings and jewelry. I would like underwear that washed and dried quickly because you can wash it out and hope for no humidity. A toothbrush and toothpaste and deodorant, comb, lipstick, shampoo and soap. There are little storage things you can carry in your purse and your comb, small cosmetic holders fit in it, pockets for a small needle and thread, a bandaid or two, tweezers and a bit of anything you might need. It rolls up and ties in a very small package. You can get an amazing amount of stuff in there and be prepared for anything in very small amounts. . .like stick in a safety pin too. We were traveling off the beaten path and she was totally prepared for everything. My only complaint with her arrangement was that if you wanted to dress up, it was tough to have shoes that marched through the jungle and went out to eat at very nice restaurants. But it can be done. She carried a very small pack that she wore over her back and no purse. I would be sure my money was secure on my body as well as my important papers. She was traveling for months and I was for 10 days.
